Mark’s Story

“Following my second knee replacement earlier in the month of February 2023 (the first one was done in October 2022), I started my weight loss journey in late February.

I weighed 276 pounds and was in horrible shape health-wise, with a medicated blood pressure of 189/106.

I began speaking with Mendy in March, and she set me up on a plan that I started on March 21, 2023, with a weight of 264. I had lost some pounds on my own, but I have battled my weight my entire life (60 now) and knew I would not succeed on my own. I had a lofty goal to be 240 pounds for my son’s wedding in early May of that year.

Mendy put me on a plan that I told her would have to be super easy to follow, as I would get discouraged and quit if it was difficult at all.

She did just that and made herself available to answer questions or provide needed support at all times. She also held me accountable with Monday morning check-ins, always followed by words of support for that week’s successes or failures.

I really like that her priority was always to keep you in the right frame of mind, even offering up “cheat meals” when needed.

Mendy would tweak the plan if needed or if I was not getting the desired outcome we agreed to.

The wedding came, and I met my goal. I was so excited about this that we set a new goal of 200 pounds by the end of the year. We hit this not as aggressively as before but still averaging a pound and a half per week.

Everything was going well when, in late September, my wife and I suffered every parent’s biggest nightmare. The loss really knocked me off track, and then came the holidays. Mendy stuck with me, and we came up with a newer plan. Make the journey one year and still get to 200 lbs.

As of today, 2/12/24, I am at 209 lbs, and there is no doubt I will make my goal. I am off some blood pressure medicine and have an average of around 117/63 now.

I exercise regularly, wearing clothes, I have not been able to wear for years, and I wear my original wedding ring from 30 years ago. I feel great!”
